"When I was a kid, we didn’t have homeless on the street. Hell’s Kitchen was mostly Irish-—and I’m Italian—so most of my growing up was fighting. When they would call you a name, like a 'wop' or a 'guinea,' I would jump on them like I was a cat. I was always tough, even though I’m small."
